Zone Systems take safety seriously. That's why we put in sensors into every phaser to ensure that players hold their phaser with two hands, preventing them from swinging it about wildily and possibly causing an injury.

In addition, each phaser is fitted with a special Laser Lockout “LASLO” microchip. These microchips make it impossible for a laser to be continuously active for over 200 milliseconds, making them quite safe to use.
